08.01.2013 Solo tuition, concerts, chamber music, meeting other talented young artists to learn from each other and make music together. The course is for gifted string (violin, viola, cello) and piano players aged between 14 and 26 years. The emphasis will be on a repertoire of musical literature from the 18th and 19th centuries. Participants will receive regular teaching in their solo repertoire, but there will also be the opportunity to form chamber music groups working together under the instruction of the teaching stuff. Concerts will be held every evening in the Academy and/or at venues throughout the region. The pieces for the concert programmes will be chosen by the Artistic Director and the teaching staff on the basis of an audition. [ mehr... ]

06.09.2011 In 2010 Janina Fialkowska held the first international piano academy in Marktoberdorf. Six exceptional young pianists were fortunate enough to be invited to work for four days with the great Artist. Janina Fialkowska’s instincts in her choice of unusual talents was proved correct by the subsequent triumphs of two of the participants: one month after the academy French pianist Francois Dumont won the 5th prize at the prestigious Frédéric Chopin piano competition in Warsaw, probably one of the most important piano competitions in the world today (he was one of 350 accepted applicants of the competition). Just recently German pianist Alexander Schimpf won a unanimous First Prize at the United States’ most important international piano competition in Cleveland. All courses are organized by the Bavarian Music Academy Marktoberdorf in partnership with the association listed and are divided into "open" courses (anyone interested can apply to take part) and "closed" courses (these courses are intended for particular groups of participants).
